Which books are the best for UPSC Exam aspirants?

The ideal approach to start your UPSC preparation, according to myself and other prior IAS test toppers, is to study through the NCERT books for UPSC and then move on to the normal UPSC book list (consisting of the standard books). You should also be careful about the IAS books you chose for your preparation, as the UPSC prelims and mains are significantly distinct from one another, necessitating two separate sets of reading material for each. The UPSC Prelims, as a wholly objective sort of paper, would require its own set of book lists, while the UPSC Mains, as a completely subjective paper, would require its own. Anyway, in this section of the site, I’ve listed the titles of all the key books for the UPSC CSEs, organised by phases and subjects. One thing to keep in mind is that any decent booklist should always be extensive enough to cover the complete exam course. Best NCERT Books for UPSC Listed below are the best NCERT books for UPSC according to the various subjects of ...

UPSC Exam Pattern 2022

Essentially, knowing the UPSC test pattern 2022 is critical to acing the UPSC exams. Everything you learn and prepare for during your IAS preparations must be calibrated to the IAS exam pattern in the end. That is how crucial the UPSC exam pattern topic is. The UPSC test is divided into three levels in order to get to the real deal. The Prelims round, according to the test structure, is essentially an elimination round aimed to weed out the majority of unsuitable candidates. Then comes the second phase, often known as the Mains round,...

What is UPSC CSE?

Every year, the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) is held to recruit candidates for various Indian central government, civil services such as IAS, IPS, IFS (Foreign), IRS, IP & TAFS, IFoS (Forest), ITS, and others. It is regarded as one of the most difficult tests in the country. The  UPSC CSE , also known as the IAS test, is held after the issuance of the UPSC vacancy memo. I tell you, the UPSC exam is nothing short of a marathon. In order to be selected as an IAS officer, you must pass all three rounds. The Prelims are the first round, the Mains are the second, and the personal interviews are the third. I’ll be talking a bit more about these rounds in the section of the IAS exam pattern further down in the blog. If  you  succeed  in  becoming  an  IAS  officer,  you  will  become  a  vital  part  of  our  country’s  bureaucratic  Structure.   At  every  level...
